Backstory
Amber was born in a relatively normal family and had a very average upbringing. Her mother was a skilled alchemist and her father was a phenomenal cook. Her mother hailed from Thavnair while her father was from Sharlayan. They met when Amber's father traveled to Thavnair in search of new spices. They fell in love and traveled back to Sharlayan where they settled down and had Amber a few years after getting married.Amber grew up surrounded by endless tomes which was no small part in the reason why she grew up loving history and archeology. She became a prodigy in those fields at a young age and even got to study under Louisoix and through him got acquainted with Fourchenault. They grew up side by side and were almost inseparable. While Amber was a bit of a troublemaker that questioned most things, Fourchenault was the one that caused her to start debating with the scholars because she needed to prove a point. Unfortunately for Fourchenault he was usually proven wrong in his arguments but that's what made him admire Amber in their youth.As they grew up they both ended up joining the forum and Amber was one of the youngest members to have ever joined. But even as an adult she stirred up heated debates between her colleagues which made her have quite the infamous reputation.No one really knows besides the forum members what finally drove Amber to leave the forum behind and Sharlayan all together. Her unusual journey would begin in Ul'dah as she tried to blend into the crowds as just a humble traveling scholar. Of course no one would buy that when she beat up a bunch of thieves on her first day in the city and so her plan of keeping a low profile went up in smoke. But it also caught the attention of the scions as she soon became part of their group and eventually took on the role of scion herself.
